If you want to be near water during the hot summer months but don't fancy heading to the beaches of the Costa de la Luz, we can recommend a lovely, quiet local pool.  Filled with salt water and no nasty chlorine, the pool is set in Arcos' gloriously peaceful countryside, not even a 10 minute drive our self-catering holiday rental accommodation. Open from April/May through to October the pool is set in lawned gardens surrounded by large palm trees, so there is plenty of shade for those wanting to avoid too much sun.
This pool is one of Arcos's best kept secrets!

The entrance fee is just 5€ per person per day.
There is also a bar, a shady veranda for a civilised drink and male and female changing rooms with hot showers. 
The garden also has sun loungers and is child friendly.
