Thank you for this marvellous opportunity  to see geography, history and culture come alive in and around Arcos.  From being welcomed by the roosters and church bells in the morning to the town coming alive after 9 in the evening, we had a wonderful time, relaxing and learning from our homebase in your flat.  The view is fantastic, the people genuine - a must for future travellers are the Caves of Pilata with its drawings five times older than the Egyptian Pyramides!

Would recommend this place to anyone wishing to experience a small town in Spain.  Fabulous view, friendly people.  Don't miss "Mamma Ttina's".  We ate there twice!  Could go on forever but need to drive to Seville...

This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed!  We want to come back and stay a month.  It´s small, accessible and the views and local wines!  Not "just vino" but "vino de la tierra de Cadiz".  Our hosts have been wonderful and gracious too!

You can check out the "usual suspects" for touring but if you are up for a trip to Portugal (3-4 hours), there is this place up in the hills with the most wonderful food - Mesa do Cume.  You can find it on the web and we left a brochure in the basket.  The hill side location overlooking Taviva was astounding!  The food fabulous and the Portuguese wine cheap and so unlike any other.

We spent the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 here.  Arcos is the perfect place to reflect and to heal.  This is a very special part of the world!

The natural beauty combined with the warmth of the Spanish people (I studied in Madrid during Franco´s rule and the people are every bit as warm and wonderful now as then), make this a special country.

Your home is fantastic, the view, the bells from the church and Fernando the rooster make this extremely memorable.

Paul and I had a great time staying in your flat in Arcos.  It suited our needs perfectly as we travelled to Seville, Cadiz and followed the "Pueblo Blanco" route.  Arcos, the driving in Arcos, parking with Juan and the wine are fond memories.  It was great to return home every day to the cliffs and the view from our balcony.  We will certainly recommend your flat to anyone.

We have had a lovely holiday.  We thought the flat was delightful and is situated in a most remarkable place.  We have visited many great places, and would recommend the Cuevas de Pilata.

This was a lovely place to stay and very comfortable.

Once you´ve had your fill of sitting on the balcony watching the birds and the view with a glass of sherry from Jerez, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour (in English) of Arcos, arranged by the local tourist office, which will tell you about all the beautiful houses you see as you walk around the town.

We also enjoyed walking down the path (which you can see from the balcony) to the river, along to the watermills and back up to the lower town - a wealth of bird life and great views back up to the old town.

Our stay was an unforgettable one in this lovely house.  The view is unbeatable and stunning.  The bougainvilliers made us think of home.  We loved (we really loved) sleeping upstairs.  Let's not forget: the couch is very comfy and enormous.

Our first trip to Spain has certainly been a very memorable one, thanks to your hospitality and your fabulous house.  The views are stunning.  It was our favourite spot in the late afternoon, sipping on some wine.

We spent the week making day trips to places like Ronda, Jerez and Cadiz.  If you make it to Cadiz, make sure to visit the El Faro restaurant for some superb tapas.

Arcos itself has a lot to offer as well.  We spent every morning finding new alleys and sites while getting great exercise climbing the hills.

All of your recommendations were "spot on" and much appreciated!

We will recommend your place to all of our friends both in the US and Sweden.

Thank you for another lovely stay in Arcos.  The views and sounds and smells are always memorable!

We had lovely weather except for Sunday, the Moto GP day at Jerez.  It certainly made for an exciting race!  Valentino Rossi crashed into Casey Stoner but remounted to finish 5th! 

Ospreys, strorks and ravens all passed by our balcony here.  The orange blossom smelled beautiful!

Arcos is spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful apartment.  Very special!  We loved staying here and hope to come back.

On our last night we ate at Al Caravan restaurant - this is an undersung treasure!  A wonderful cavern - Moorish and romantic.  Delicias de solomillo - yum!  Very nice owners too.

Just wandering the streets and appreciating and re-appreciating the views, especially from the Mirador, delicious!

Thank you both - what a great place to stay!  Especially appreciated - the great bread and other foodstuffs you left us.  Arriving on Saturday night, everything was closed for the first 2 days - you are thoughtful and helpful on this.  We hope to return!

Thank you very much for arranging a carnival as a welcome committee - that was a wonderful surprise!  Also thanks to your mother for her kind advice and help.  It would have been interesting to meet you too and to see your shop, as we have a shop in Denmark ourselves.  We have left a small souvenir, on which  you will find our web address, if this should be of interest.

We just love this beautiful house, and a couple of times, we were lucky to have some afternoon sun on the fantastic terrace.

Our best night in Arcos was on Friday, when the carnival peaked.  A colourful and funny event with a lot of positive atmosphere.  Everybody seemed to be happy that night.  Some of the participants came from other Spanish towns, because they love Arcos and the people living here.  Now, we know what they mean!

A tip to coming guests; if you are going to Chipiona (near Sancluar de Barrameda), you should stop for a tapa y copa at "Bodega El catillito", an old and very authentic bodega and tapas bar.  We also bought one of their fine moscatel wines to enjoy at your terrace.

We had a fantastic time in your house overlooking the scenic Spanish countryside.  We really appreciated your warm welcome and thoughtful, informative travel suggestions.  Our favourite Arcos experiences included morning cortados at the friendly El Rincon de la Chata, tapas at La Carcel, shopping at the small wine and cheese shop behind Santa Maria (El Descansillo) and just wandering the streets of Arcos.  We also enjoyed our day trips to the mountain town of Grazalema, the jawdropping gorge of Ronda and the oceanside promenades of Cadiz.
